  • Three-year qualification in Humanistic Integrative Psychotherapeutic Counselling at the Metanoia Institute in London. This training centred around three primary therapeutic styles, the Person-centred Approach, Gestalt and Transactional Analysis.

  • Professional membership with the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP).

  • Two-year MSc. in Humanistic Integrative Psychotherapy at the Metanoia Institute in London. This training is designated a Column C training, the most rigorous, under the new SCoPEd initiative. SCoPEd aims to provide clarity on the scope and education of therapeutic practitioners in the UK.

  • Professional membership with the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP).

I have experience working as a therapist in a variety of settings including: The Metanoia Counselling Service, Faces-in-Focus (18-25 year-olds), St Joseph’s Hospice and The Centre for Better Health.

I work with: Anxiety, Bereavement, Buddhism, Creative Blocks, Cultural issues, Depression, Head Injuries, Health related issues, Life Transitions, Loss, Men, Pain, Relationships, Self-esteem, Spirituality, Stress, Trauma and Young adults (20-25).

I welcome working with adults from all backgrounds, countries, ethnicities, cultures, religions, sexual orientations and genders. Respect is a foundation of my practice.

  • One-year The Mind Illuminated teacher training with author and neuroscientist Dr. John Yeats. The Mind Illuminated is a detailed meditation manual drawing on neuroscience and Buddhist frameworks.

  • Four-year contemplative training with Dr. Mark Miller, emphasising contemporary neuroscience and meditation. Acquired accreditation as a Mind Illuminated teacher with Mark. Mark is a cognitive scientist, philosopher and senior researcher currently affiliated with The University of Toronto, Hokkaido University and Monash University’s Centre for Consciousness and Contemplative Studies. He is also the host of the Contemplative Science Podcast.

  • Three-month course in Trauma sensitive Mindfulness with Trauma expert Dr. David Treleaven.

  • Two-year training in Unified Mindfulness to become a certified trainer and coach. Unified Mindfulness is a neuroscience-informed, coaching and meditation system designed to support people in achieving their full potential.

  • Three-month course in Motivational Interviewing with Clinical Psychologist Dr. Tucker Peck.

  • Ongoing one-on-one study with meditation teacher Kenneth Folk.

My coaching approach involves collaboratively setting goals and creating new behaviours to support achieving them.

Meditation is a powerful tool which in my experience as a practitioner and teacher enhances all learning and can support people no matter what they are experiencing.
